Powhatan County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, post bond, release a person, or obtain an official booking record. Direct those matters to the responsible government office listed below.

Powhatan arrest-side records, regional-jail booking records, and county public-record requests have different holders. Use the route that matches the question. For an emergency, call 9-1-1 rather than an administrative number.

No reviewed Powhatan County or PRJ source publishes a fixed booking-photo fee. For a record request, identify the person, approximate date, arresting agency, and the existing record sought. The county form permits a cost estimate, and a deposit may be involved when anticipated costs exceed $200.
- For current regional custody, start with PRJ’s Who’s In Jail roster. It is not a Powhatan-only list. Open an entry and confirm that the arresting agency matches before treating it as a Powhatan arrest.
- For a PRJ-held booking record or adult initial-intake photograph, use the PRJ FOIA route. For Sheriff-held arrest or incident material, use the Sheriff FOIA address or the county route. The home resource explains the holder-specific process and Virginia’s response rules.
- For a case outcome, hearing, or charge after booking, use the Virginia General District Court case system or contact the appropriate court. A booking charge remains an allegation unless a court resolves it.
- For a state prisoner or supervisee, use the VADOC Inmate & Supervisee Locator.
- For federal custody, use the Bureau of Prisons inmate locator. For immigration detention, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator System. Those tools do not replace a PRJ custody search.
